FAQ

What do you do?

We just solve noise problems, or we define the necessary treatments so that these problems do not come into existence.

What is an acoustic project?

An acoustic project is a report where the current situation of a premises, equipment, or activity is analyzed, measurements are taken, the data is processed, and a series of improvements are proposed to comply with regulations or client requirements.

What is an acoustic certificate?

A certificate is a report where working conditions, operating facilities, or a completed construction project are measured, and their compliance with regulations is determined. The final result is PASS or FAIL.

Do you have any administration accreditation?

We are not EPCA or ENAC accredited. These accreditations are used to carry out acoustic certificates in certain municipalities. No accreditation is required for acoustic projects.

Are you registered with a professional association?

Yes, we are registered with the Official Association of Telecommunication Technical Engineers (COITT).

Is your measurement equipment verified?

Yes, our equipment is verified annually by Applus or another organization, following the instructions of Legal Metrology.

How much does an acoustic project cost?

Our rates are calculated based on travel distance and project complexity. We cannot provide a price without first knowing this information.

What are the decibels?

Decibels are a way of representing sound pressure adapted to our hearing. 0 dB would be our minimum hearing threshold, and 140 dB would be our maximum hearing limit before irreversibly damaging our hearing. Negative decibels can exist (below our minimum hearing threshold), as well as values above it

How can I soundproof against a noise of unknown origin in my home?

In this case, the only way to detect the origin of an unknown noise in a residential building is through trial and error. There is no measurement equipment that indicates the origin of a noise. The possible origin must be analyzed floor by floor, including commercial spaces and building facilities. It is costly and there are no guarantees of success.

My dog barks at home when I'm away. Does it have to comply with regulations?

Yes, ordinances clearly specify that pets must also comply with noise limits, with the owner being the responsible party.
